The introduction of this character (Love Quinn), as a mirror image of Joe, as a reflection beyond which he passes by violently “breaking” the frame, meaning it was different from what he used to see, somehow pushes this effort of self-awareness to the extreme at the same time as experimenting every emotion to the limit. And the audience watches through the eyes of the protagonist.įurthermore, Love, his wife whom he kills at the end of the third season, symbolizes the almost “complete” destruction of love in order to start over with another more clearly. He wonders about the possible consequences of creating and manipulating circumstances, he adjusts and reinvents himself and his love for each new partner of his. He is sensitive and insightful, constantly self-observing and self-examining, he is not immoral, he has a strong ethic of his own, which he always tries to be mindful of and whose principles are constantly enriched, refined, depending on his relationships, his family, the community into which he struggles to fit.
